5 wins in a row, 7 clean sheets in 8 qualifying games. 2 goals conceded. 16 scored. 2nd place in the group quaranteed. Never known a Northern Ireland team so.... genuinely good.

Only 3 premier league players in the starting XI tonight too, 4 from the championship, 3 from leagues 1&2 and one from the Scottish Prem

it's a poor czech and norway team it seems, but that shouldn't matter. 9 points clear in second is an amazing achievement. playoff guaranteed and even a connor mcgregor chance of first
fair play

Heathrow and Luton are closer but involve a good few train & tube changes. If you fly into Gatwick you can get a train to London Bridge and then tube to Wembley
2 points, 8 games, 1 hero.

The team for ENIC's first game at the helm, a defeat at Derby:
N. Sullivan, S. Clemence, G. Doherty, S. Campbell, L.Young, A. Thelwell, S. Freund , T. Sherwood, L. King, A. Booth, L. Ferdinand

Yeah no real chance of winning the group but nice to have 2nd secured with 2 either games left. Away to Norway and home to Germany so having to win either of those could have been tricky. The win last night should hopefully boost our ranking to get us one of the seeds in the playoff

Czechs were very disappointing last night, thankfully. They had around 75% of the possession but I don't think had a proper dangerous shot on target and never really looked like scoring while NI looked dangerous on the counter attack.

1 point from 6. we played and looked better, but that's no use if we still lose the game. no real composure around the box. dunno why long was runnign straight at ivanovic
robbed of a peno too. perfect
potentially, wales draw away with georgia while we beat moldova at home. taht means a draw in cardiff is enough for a playoff
most likely we need to win in wales and even then there's no easy second place team for the playoff

Longs crossfield ball to the linesman was my personal highlight. Missed him too!

yeah this was very strange. did he really think the linesman was our player? or he just expected someone to be there?
wasn't the first time in teh two games where he finally managed to take it down and had time for layoff, but blew it

Long only has pace. He runs the channels well but he cant hold up the ball, beat a man or lay it off without taking 2 or 3 touches

He's also a big confidence player

i really felt he could have destroyed ivanovic. ivanovic was terrified every time he ran towards him and kept dropping off, but long had no real intention of taking him on and trying to get around him

cmon the georgia

He's alright in the air too but he's a headless chicken, he's never lurking in the box where you want him. Too busy drifting all over the shop.

We really miss Keane. You need someone who can score one of the 2 or 3 chances we get in a game like last night. Though to be fair the service was fairly shite too. For all the great talk about Wes on RTE he produced fuck all.

Frank De Boer got the chop already  shortest manager stint in PL history, at least in terms of games

85 days at Inter Milan.
77 days at Crystal Palace.

Live that down in your next job interview.

(Les Reed had 41 days at Charlton. 7 games.)
