Definite peno on Willian - the 'he tripped himself' bollox being trotted out by the pundits and clattenberg says it's the right decision.

Very pleased with the performance so far.

Fosu-Mensah gone on loan to Palace. Hope he gets plenty of games, think he will be Valencia's replacement long term

Dad's 65th birthday this year so taking him to the Rome Derby. Hoping for decent atmosphere and some rioting for the full experience.

Anyone been before?

Last season both sets of ultras boycotted the derby in protest at the installation of a glass partition that separated the tifosi in the Curva Nord (lazio section) and Curva Sud (Roma section). It resulted in the stadium being half empty and a really shit/no atmosphere during the games including the derby.

Would be worth checking it out before you book everything as it will be the difference between a cracking atmosphere and zero atmosphere!

Ah. Shit. Thanks for that

It was between that or the Milan one at the new Atletico stadium but research had shown ridiculous prices for tickets and more reasonable for Rome. That may explain it...

couldn't get a decent stream of the game, but the 5 min highlights show that real passed through our defense for the laugh last night
different class opposition obviously, but still
could be a fairly lonely season for lukaku in the big games

Real were incredible for about 65 minutes or so, a different class. They faded a bit at the end and a draw might not have been a surprise.

Lukaku's miss was unreal

Puts Poch in a difficult position as he clearly has a lot of time for Rose, but any previous player who has acted up has been ostracised from the group and moved on

If Poch can turn Danny Rose and Kyle Walker into good full backs he can do it with anyone

Thats it. He had mediocre fullbacks doing a good job at Soton too. I reckon Poch can easily replace players like that when he wants to.

I'm pretty confident he can but given the timescale it probably won't be possible this summer, we'll be utterly fucked for pace if Rose goes too

Was in the shop at lunch there and the new Newcastle shirt is £70. Had a look at a few others and they're all around the same price. The badges aren't even embroidered now, just a patch stuck on. And the material is thin and flimsy as anything.

A few seasons ago there was a bit of a price war and they were all selling €25-€35 in the big sports shops, now they've just all sky rocketed again. Add a name and patches and its about €100.
