Different expectations though, no? This was our second time in the CL knockouts ever and Juve are quite good.

Don't think it's a case of expectations, especially considering how the English teams have performed in the CL over the last few years. I think it's just more of a goodwill thing towards Spurs. It didn't look like your second time in the CL knockouts for the first hour
Yeah I suppose there is a lot of goodwill there, likable manager and an overhyped English core will do that

anything i had read after the first leg was pretty much saying that it's over. that juve looked old and tired and spurs energy was too much. given that kind of coverage, today's coverage has been reasonably kind to spurs. but yeah i'd say it has a bit to do with expectations. winning your group and drawing last year's finalists is a kick in the balls

tough ask to keep his job after that. Hope he does because he's good at it. Not that that should make any difference to whether he should keep it. The big knacker.
Feel bad for the poor girl. Her dad almost sounded thrilled she got spat on, rather than actually concerned.

You could hear the "cha-ching" sounds going off in the fathers head as he was talking.
Carraghers apology was fucking laughable though.
"I was being goaded 3 or 4 times, while driving, in my car, with my windows rolled up. What choice did i have, but to wind my window down and hock up the big gobby one i'd be holding in my mouth!?"

yeah hopefully the dad will get done for using a phone while driving
Just watched the sky news interview. Expected a quick 3 minute apology. Your one grilled him good and proper, for 13 minutes. Asking whether he deserved to keep his job or if he’d offered to resign. No pussyfooting about just because he’s in the same organisation
The dad is a complete arsehole but Carraghers job means arseholes are going to shout at you, it comes with the territory. The way he reacted was vile and he should lose his job for it. Looks like he won't though, a "tough" interview and a suspension is about all the reprimand he'll get.

You would, if you spat at a client.
When you're in the public eye, the public are your client. Sky Sports are ok with their employees spitting at 14 year old football fans? It's not a good look.
I don't think that interview was just a reprimand either. It might be a way to see what way the wind is blowing, but i think it was serious. She asked him more than once had he offered his resignation, and then asked why he felt he shouldn't. He then did a 2nd backstage interview and yer man pointedly asked him the same thing.
that's a fair pointBiggy Shackleton wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:40 pmYou would, if you spat at a client.

Don't think he will be sacked for it - and i don't think i really care that he won't be.

Well deserved. Appalling management from Mourinho, appalling performances from almost every united player barring Lukaku and to some extent Rashford (though his inexperience really shined with those constant, hopeless free kicks). Sevilla should have won the first leg as well, only right they went through.
Special mention for Pogba. It's like watching that gif of Fellaini running the ball straight off the pitch but for 90 minutes.

Haha perfect description. That last pass he made that went straight out for a throw was shocking, Sanchez looking shite as well. Still this one lands straight on Mourinhos desk, ye looked clueless.
