Love watching De bruyne

Everton should be doing better with an extra man. Just keep the ball for a while at least

Interesting start to the season so far.

Wenger is going to come in for some serious heat if we lose to Liverpool on Sunday. His team selection for Stoke was fucking bizarre.

Its classic Wenger. Panic and find a system that works too late in the season for it to really matter, then start the next season by making crazy selections that break the new system.

And he wanted to get rid of Giroud this summer too but he refused to go. Imagine the clusterfuck now if Giroud had gone as well as everything else.

To be fair to him it sounds like he would have been willing to let him go if he pushed for a move rather than wanted him out. I'm surprised and delighted he wants to stay. He's the perfect impact sub.

I had thought prior to the season kicking off that we were pretty well set at CB but that goes out the window if Wenger doesn't rate Mertesacker and/or Chambers (and if that's the case why hasn't he sold the latter and brought in a replacement)? To think we played two left backs at CB, a midfielder at RB and a RB at LB is fucking crazy. Mustafi continues to worry me massively too. I know he's young but he looks like a dud to me.

On the plus side, I love Lacazette. I can't remember us having a proper finisher like that since that season Eduardo was on fire.

I don't know. Reading between the lines a lot of the clubs more reliable journos said he was told he wasn't in Wengers plans and then I heard Phillip Auclair say Giroud refused to leave. I think Wenger tried to push him out, maybe not too forcefully but still he didn't want him. And considering that means Wenger wanted Welbeck over Giroud you would have to seriously question his sanity.

Add to that Gabriel is gone, yeah he wasn't the best but I wanted to see the likes of him play all the Europa games. How Wenger has managed on one hand to put himself in a situation where he's saying he has too many players so he can't sign anyone while still having gaps all over the squad is quite and achievement.

Agree on Lacazette. He's still struggling to get into games but when he does he's always looks dangerous.

The way the pots are, it kinda hamstrings the league winners of the big 4 leagues. It's only really good for the weaker league winners

Example, Madrid draw 4 good teams from 5 in pot 2. Spanish teams draw 3 good teams from 7 in pot 1

Great draws for us and United, tricky enough draw for City and a tough draw for Chelsea.

And Spurs are fucked.

Pretty happy with our group, we got an easy one last year and were shit so we might as well play some good teams early.

We've offered Ox 185k/week. The club is a complete shambles at the minute from top to bottom. Wenger needs a big week in the transfer market.

The source of that story is fairly dubious but if its true then its insane. What has Ox ever done in his life to warrant half that? He's one of the most overrated players at the club. He can beat his man for fun but then what? He rarely does anything useful with the ball.

He's not worth close to it. I'll be sad to see him go if he leaves though. He's been one of our best players since we moved to 3 at the back and offers something no one else in the side does. He does more with the ball than any of our other full backs have in years. Leaving it this late to try and sort out a contract is a joke though.

It sounds like Wenger is willing to let Mustfi go too. I'm ok if we get a replacement in but I'm not at all confident of that happening.
