Cazorla out for 3 months now too. Wengers refusal to buy Schneiderlin or another alternative in the summer is really going to haunt him this season.

it might be knee jerk, but the goalscoring our team is all of a sudden showing when you think of the Chelsea, City & Soton games, it's giving the same optimism of when Suarez was here

All of a sudden nearly everyone is fit (no Ings, Gomez or Sahko, Flanno's nearly back), it's the 1st time in a while there's also an actual dilemma of who should start and our bench might actually look like it can change things up in a game

I love Klopp

Its been the absolute death knell of whatever little hope chelsea were holding onto of sneaking into 4th anyway i think.

We need to make a serious move for Pep this summer. Now or never.

The Liverpool fan in our office started his "our year" speech this morning with the words "Eamon Dunphy is backing Liverpool" and finished with "if only we could get the locals back in Anfield, we'd be back to the glory days".

I should really be posting this in Do you like your job??!

What a plonker.

I think top 4 would be a great achievement and it's looking like it's between Liverpool and Spurs so whoever blinks first will lose out.

Liverpool have far better options off the bench than Spurs which gives them a massive advantage over us.

Curious question about Spurs. I see Lamela is doing well now

But would he make your 1st choice XI ahead of Erikson, Dembele & Son?

He's been rumoured to be coming to City for years now, there's the whole Pellegrini's contract matching Pep's (Pellegrini's extra year added thought to be more for show and less media pressure) and the pull of Txiki and Soriano.

But he'd probably still end up at united.

City could win the league, or United could come 2nd (that's the highest I think they might come with how they're playing) and they'd still likely shove their manager out for a chance of Pep, just like Bayern did after Heynckes won the treble

There's no question whatsoever that Pellegrini would be gone in a flash no matter what he did if Pep agreed to join. That's why I said what I said about his contract.

I really wonder how big a pull that actually is though.

And i thought i heard something before that Pep was unhappy about Tixi taking credit for Barca's success.

Well that's the thing, it could just as easily be that things linked up and fit nicely so the media have been running with it.

I reckon Peps agent floats the City thing constantly because its the easiest big spender to threaten clubs with.

I'd have to agree, we're lacking a real cutting edge in the final third but we're very solid so we'll run them pretty close.

Eriksen's been poor this season, Lamela definitely deserves to start ahead of him.
2 points, 8 games, 1 hero.

The team for ENIC's first game at the helm, a defeat at Derby:
N. Sullivan, S. Clemence, G. Doherty, S. Campbell, L.Young, A. Thelwell, S. Freund , T. Sherwood, L. King, A. Booth, L. Ferdinand

Not that I think Madrid should escape being ejected from the cops del rey, but I'm kinda shocked that it's not something that refs have as part of their prep to a game, re ineligible/suspended players etc.

No Rooney at the weekend. Hope it can unshackle the attack a touch.

An 11 year old from Linfield is off to Real Madrid for a trial.
