could be stuck with DDG & Valdes now. Although you'd have to expect DDG would start playing again

Yep, its Real Madrid afterall

People on Twitter having a fanny fit over this. i'd imagine Jim White is pulling the bollox off himself in preparation for tomorrow.

So it looks like Madrid didn't get the paperwork to LFP in time, all good on Utd's side

however, there's no way the transfer won't go through. Spanish No. 1 transferring to Madrid from a foreign team with the Euros coming up, no way the league will want to stand in the way over a deadline being missed by 29 mins

Well jaysus, seems like i missed everything, it all went a bit mad last night.
Thank fuck i don't have Sky Sports News any more. I'd say Jim White was a frothing mess.

Somebody couldn't open a pdf fast enough, is that what its boiling down to?

It always astonishes me that these massive companies can't get their paperwork in order to do a £20m+ deal.

Typical Madrid tactic though, wait till the last minute to make a genuine bid. I'm sure it will go through once the contents of the email or whatever can be verified as good to go at the time of sending, but i'd love to see them get stung just once.

Yeah fuck them, I'd actually like if this blew up in their face. We can still sign Navas today in a separate deal anyway if we want to

I'll be interested to see Utd's next quarterly results to see what the actual fee paid for Martial is,

Doubt Navas would move today, or Madrid would sell him if DDG doesn't happen

Also means you'll likely lose DDG for free next year. So both teams kinda stung. I think United more so than Madrid

Massive mess but he'll probably still move. Football is so shit right now. Gonna go full GAA this weekend.

Will it though? As I understand it doesn't really matter when Utd sent the docs, its when Real submitted them to the Spanish FA for approval. They sent them after the deadline so that's that. Utd are only covering their arse by saying it's not their fault Real didn't do their bit in time.

well Real had all summer to make a bid, they waited till the last possible day to start negotiations, and Utd were obviously trying to do other deals at the same time. Apparently, Keylor wanted some last minute adjustments made to the contract Utd offered which held it up. It's blown up spectacularly in Madrid's face, we get to keep him for a year and can plan accordingly for next summer. £22m is not that much to Utd with the new TV money and if we qualify for the CL. DDG is not going to want to sit on the bench for a year with the euros coming up

Oh I know that. I dont think Utd did anything wrong here. I thing this is all on Real. Couldn't happen to a nicer club either. I do feel sorry for DDG in all this though.

Delighted with West Ham doing their business so early. Song, Moses and Jelavic are great additions.

Supposedly still after 2 more, hopefully not adebayor.

When was the last time Jelavic did anything of note? And as for Moses, he was absolute rubbish for us, a lil bit better for Stoke, but wouldn't be too excited about him just yet if I were you. Did Song not go to shite after the first half of last season?
