Are cameras allowed inside the EP arena this year? Tickets say that they can't be taken in, but EP want us to submit photos for their yearbook? Surely there's only so many pictures of tents you can take...

Once it's not a professional camera, they'll be fine about it I imagine.

You'll be grand with a digital camera like, as long as you don't have a lens on it the size of a house

Was wondering the same, and cannot find any contact info to ask for a formal policy and/or request a press pass.

Does anyone have an email address or phone number that might get me to someone who can answer this question?

I see loads of people with DSLRs at every other year. I'm taking mine with me this year. Tried to get a photo pass through a certain Dublin radio station since I've done stuff for them but they were of no help.

It was a while ago I asked, and had talked about it with one of the station girls drunk enough times about it. They said they are not covering the festival this year but I open the 8 page special in yesterday’s Star magazine and there is a page advert of them advertising that they are at all Irelands best festivals. If they do cover it then I’m done with doing anything for them.

I reckon we should risk it.

I used my SLR lots last year. Was at the front for most gigs, only comments from security was them being nosey about the camera. I made no attempt to hide it either coming into the arena or while using it.

I'm thinking that too because I'd spend the entire time beating myself up because of missed photo opportunities.

I love my DSLR

It has a removable lens but I don't have to tell them that :?
