Played a heavy amount of Fallout 4 over the weekend, kinda cracked how to and the point of crafting a settlement.

Need to level up loads before I can do anything though. Did a quick google image and it seems you end up building these enormous, elaborate bases.

I'd be the type to get really anal about that. I once spent like two days "moving house" in Skyrim.

I made a couple of settlements out of necessity and curiosity but found it a bit boring.

yeah, I didn't use them much at all.

some of the crops I grew to help craft more adhesive for crafting purposes, but put as minimal effort as I could into them.

there's a point at which you can get your armour so strong that the game becomes a bit too processional tbh

also, I find it hard to play a game where there are so many choices, without googling the implications of doing mission X or Y. I know I'm only going to have time to play through once.

I miss the karma system of the older games, where individual actions like robbing etc. had a clear impact.

Playing Uncharted: Lost Legacy at the moment.

It's great, a solid extension of the last game, nothing particularly new about it but the landscapes are jaw-droppingly beautiful. Script is pretty good too, unusual to have two female protagonists.

Skyrim is on sale on xb1 for €30. never played it before, is it worth it? i loved fallout 3 which, i think, would be the closest thing i've played to it. but i still have fallout 4 here to play.

Definitely worth it.

I started Infamous Second Son yesterday. Its good enough, mechanics are very nice. Tiny bit repetitive. Can't complain when it was free on PS+ anyway. It'll tide me over until Horizon Zero Dawn arrives in the post.

I though there was a few more days left on the sale, but it was up at midnight last night so i got Skyrim. got a few more days left on Watchdogs before i get stuck into Skyrim.

I'm scamming at the system at the moment. Went back to pay as you go a few months back on my phone. getting a much better offer and cheaper. With any left over credit, I'm buying xbox credit. So far, I've gotten Thimbleweed Park, the season pass for Lego Star Wars TFA, and Skyrim. not a bad haul so far for "free" credit.

Skyrim is phenomenal. Strong purchase there. I would love to get it for PS4 but I've already bought it twice in the past so nah.

Been playing Papers Please a bit recently, very good little game. Remarkably immersive, given how simplistic the graphics and gameplay is.

Also, sporadically playing 90s adventure Spycraft: The Great Game, which has aged like a fine wine imo.

Am I right in thinking we're not really allowed post torrents here?

Came across an utterly sensational gaming one recently :?:

Basically the entire contents of Gog dot com in an itemised 1.4TB file you can pick and choose from. Unbelievable scenes.

So Cuphead is bastard hard. It's going to have some amount of rage quits on it.

I swapped out my xbox one via gamestop on friday. Ridiculous deal - bring in an old xbox one and swap it for an xbox one s, fifa, fifa jersey and either minecraft/forza horizon 3 all for €70. I traded fifa back in for credit and got €50 for it. The shop in galway was hopping when i went in, loads of xboxes on the floor ready to be tested before swapping. i dropped my in the day before and had it all ready for me.

I still have my nephew's copy of MGS to get through. Was hoping to get it cleared before Xmas. Some hope I'd say.
Life is getting in the way.

Gone Home Free with GwG this month. nice, strange little game. it was described as a walking simulator and i can see why. no punching, no shooting, no racing, just wandering around your parents new home after you've been away. has some nice touches and it added to the effect of playing at night when it was raining outside my gaff. very short game, you can explore as much as you like and still finish in about an hour. good indie game so thumbs up for GwG for putting out a strange game like this.
