Yeah,
the sixth best-selling game across all formats in 2016

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... eft-auto-v

Used Parcel Motel and Amazon Prime to get a copy for £25, CeX selling second-hand copies for €55 I think.

Its a good move in the long term. They want to break records as quickly as possible and reap the free advertising that goes with it. And if you know waiting is pointless then you'll just buy on release.

I have never played a Zelda game, never really had a nintendo system (there was a N64 in college but that was a dedicated Goldeneye machine)

From what I've read about Breath of the Wild I'd be keen to play it, sounds amazing but I won't be getting a new console anytime soon, especially one that seems so gimmicky.

Went to another VR event.
Microsoft and Nvidia talking and lots of VR and headsets to pick from.
Did a haunted house and a medieval Ireland fighting game on the Vive.

Yeah I got it for the Wii U. I've played most Zelda games, enjoyed all of them, but only finished 3 or 4. This is on a different level to all of them, or any game I've ever played. It's got the sense of freedom and scope of GTA or Skyrim. You've a loose idea what you're doing most of the time but you can wander off wherever. Got caught in a thunder storm at one stage and couldn't move because the mountain I was on had gotten too wet to climb down, got struck by lightening because I was carrying a metal shield instead of wood. Incredible levels of detail.

Great read on why Mass Effect matters. In Italian, so the translation wobbles a bit here and there but it's really interesting and well-written.

Wolfenstein: The old blood - cracking little game. Possibly could have been a DLC for Wolf: The new order but still strong enough to go out on it's own as a cut-price game. All the reviews said it was easy enough and you could complete it on the Uber difficulty no problem. yeah, either they are playing at a level beyond me or i'm shit at gaming. Had to crank the difficulty down after getting killed all the time.

The Cave - got this on games with gold a while back. it's by the guy who did the lucasarts point and click games back in the day and you can tell from the very start. Same humor and graphic style. He's a new one coming out soon too. Anyway, looks good so far.

Needed a break from GTA, was finding it stressful.

Giving Inside a play, got a lot love at the Bafta game awards. Very atmospheric. Good palate cleanser.

I might consider going back to COD if that works out well.

Been playing Doom recently. Cracking game, I'm only about 4 levels in so far. lots of stuff to do in each level (searching for secrets, doom guys, all the level ups)

GOG next month are Lego Star Wars Complete Saga and The Force Unleashed 2. Can't wait for those. I sunk many, many hours into the lego game. all my achievements are still there but i think my save files are gone. going to have to start from scratch.

have you tried battlefield 1?

I got Watch Dogs 2 from the gf for my birthday. I'm liking it. Its GTA with some gadgets thrown in. Liking the different ways to do missions and the fact that randomers can join your game without you noticing and vice versa.

I'm still playing ghost recon, its a bit soulless mind, a bit of fun but a week might pass without playing it and you wouldnt think anything of it. I'm in dire need of a new FPS, i've played bf1, titanfall, doom, cod, rainbow 6 all to death. I might go back to Rainbow 6 for the time being. Where are all the new games.
