Yeah,
the sixth best-selling game across all formats in 2016

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... eft-auto-v

Used Parcel Motel and Amazon Prime to get a copy for £25, CeX selling second-hand copies for €55 I think.

Its a good move in the long term. They want to break records as quickly as possible and reap the free advertising that goes with it. And if you know waiting is pointless then you'll just buy on release.

I have never played a Zelda game, never really had a nintendo system (there was a N64 in college but that was a dedicated Goldeneye machine)

From what I've read about Breath of the Wild I'd be keen to play it, sounds amazing but I won't be getting a new console anytime soon, especially one that seems so gimmicky.

Went to another VR event.
Microsoft and Nvidia talking and lots of VR and headsets to pick from.
Did a haunted house and a medieval Ireland fighting game on the Vive.

Yeah I got it for the Wii U. I've played most Zelda games, enjoyed all of them, but only finished 3 or 4. This is on a different level to all of them, or any game I've ever played. It's got the sense of freedom and scope of GTA or Skyrim. You've a loose idea what you're doing most of the time but you can wander off wherever. Got caught in a thunder storm at one stage and couldn't move because the mountain I was on had gotten too wet to climb down, got struck by lightening because I was carrying a metal shield instead of wood. Incredible levels of detail.
