so Pat Rice is leaving Arsenal

I imagine that will do Wenger the world of good, having a different voice in his ear rather than Rice telling him everything he's doing is grand

there are some awful creations being unleashed next season by the looks of things.
heres the link to the united one from their facebook page:

according to one lad on facebook: "this man utd jersey has been made to honour SAF's years at this glorious club..its a scottish tartan design made to honour our scottish manager."
hmm. yeah.

hernandez not being allowed go to the olympics so that he can get some rest apparently.

Some interesting financial stuff on the telegraph website

Chelsea spent £189.5m on wages in comparison to Blackpool's £13.6m, for example

Statistics
Cabaye:33 games played, 4 goals, 6 assists, 80.4% pass success, 113 tackles, 86 interceptions.
Modric: 35 games played, 4 goals, 4 assists, 87.5% pass success, 55 tackles, 76 interceptions

If anyone pays over £20m for Modric this summer they should be taken out and shot

It wont make a blind bit of difference. Boulds not going to start telling Wenger what to do, if he was he wouldn't have been appointed. He's already part of the set up anyway so it'll just be more of the same.

Its perfect for Bould though, if theres any improvement he'll get the plaudits and if theres continued decline or just more of the same it'll be Wenger getting the blame.

He'd be money well spent for any team that played him in his proper position imo

"key passes" is 91 v 56 in Modric's favour

not saying that Modric is worth the money they talk about, and i know Key Passes is a subjetive term

Under 18s manager. Wenger said "he knows our football philosophy and therefore there will be a continuity" which definitely sounds like alot of the same. Best we can hope for is he does some good training with the defence as Pat Rice often took the defensive side of training. If he could rein in Vermaelen it'd be great.

Do you think teams would set out to stop cabaye and Newcastle the same way they would set out to stop Modric and spurs, and would it not show up in those stats.

If someones paying £20m plus for Modric they should play him ahead of where he's played at Spurs. If you had him as the AM with 2 quality winger and a top class striker ahead of him he'd do wonders.

Definitely, he plays very very deep for us the majority of the time.

Do you think Rice leaving is the shake up ye need? probably to be expected after having the same Assistant and First Team coach for the last 16 years.
Loyalty like his should be honoured regardless of the club, it is an increasingly rare quality.

Nope. The changes we need are at all the levels above assistant manager.

Yep. Great man. They should name a bridge after him instead of Ken Friar. Pretty much have his whole life to Arsenal.
