You think? Where do you mean? I just finished rewatching S6 this week too, it's phenomenal; the shooting then the gay storyline. The Paris episode is just amazing.

LOL

I was wondering if he did something to piss off the directors or producers when they made him have all them gay scenes

they were a few of them & they were graphic enough!

:) I'd look at it the other way. He was floating in the background for years, a few lines here and there, then got a bumped up to a leading role for the penultimate series.

I love you, johnny cakes.

I think the last season of The Wire was poorer than any season of The Sopranos. The route they took McNulty down ruined it, imo.

I'm a big fan, and I enjoyed watching The Wire. For me, it is probably on a similar level to The Shield. But The Sopranos was a cut above the rest.

Yeah that sh*t with McNulty and the whole press stuff in the 5th series was very poor by its own standards.

The Sopranos never deteriorated like that, it was consistent quality right up until the end.

Wasn't the 'Tony In A Coma' fiasco JUST brought up? It was pointless to the point of them making me think they were leading me along for no fucking reason, like Lost or Heroes.
Or maybe they thought 'the only way we can make the next season seem as good as the first few is if we make a mess of this.'

Mmmmm. Pleasure through contrast. Bittersweet.

Or maybe they had our best interests at heart and wanted us to psychoanalyse him ourselves.

Anyway, buy the Wire. Teach your dad how to swear. You could be responsible for a sudden rejuvenation. He'll be clubbin' with you in weeks.

Maybe as a TV season, on it's own and in the staggered-time HBO was showing it, but watched straight through, as a lot of us do, it strained the pace of the show. Great that they were able to take that risk, but it felt like walking on-the-spot.

The Ulysses Effect.

i've never watched it, but i have been told that the show battlestar galactica is really amazing, it apparantly is not just a typical sci-fi but deals with alot of "real life" issues in a very interesting way
maybe get him the dvds of this show instead ?!
anyone here a fan of that show?
