Its good. The gays are a bit annoying sometimes but its good enough. Phil is the best character by far

Mitchell's not great. Cam is next best after Phil, or maybe after Luke

This, Cam is brilliant!

The Newsoom - Episode 7

It wasn't really as bad as I was expecting but it wasn't as exciting as it seemed to think it was. It was more of that 'America - f*ck YEAH' bollocks to be fair.

Yeah that was a big problem with it...

You'd think maybe Sorkin might have dealt with the sickening reaction of triumph when a man had been executed without trial. It kind of flew in the face of that opening monologue about how America could be great again. Surely one of the very best things about America and democracy is due process. Instead we got the most cloying, manipulative bullshit I've seen on TV in a long time.

All that 'we got him for you' bollocks left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth to be honest

The Newsroom - Episode 8

It was better than the last episode.
I'm not a fan of 2 parters. I liked the ending because that was a good line but the second part should probably up the interest levels.

Also the reporter dude - it was hard to believe he was the charismatic, handsome guy who lured Mackenzie away. He was a bit bland and even their scene together was a bit flat.

The episode tried to fit too many storylines in I think. The issue with their company being involved with phone tapping etc will probably be used as leverage to keep Will's job or something

managed to get a link for Roseanne's roast for anyone interested.

Haven't watched it meself yet but I know what to expect. These things always make me think of Greg Giraldo and how he was so much better than everyone else at them.

From the Hoff Roast where he wrapped the night with a Robert Kennedy assassination joke.

Quote:
"You were an aide to Bobby Kennedy," Giraldo said of co-roaster Jerry Springer. "That probably explains your connection to Hasselhoff. I guess you like to hang around guys whose careers end on a hotel room floor."

Giraldo was also kind enough to end the night with a shout out to recently deceased actor Gary Coleman by telling Hasselhoff:

Quote:
"Your liver is so shriveled, black and dead if you put your ear to your side you can hear it going: 'What you talkin' about Willis?'"

God, he was great.

Enjoyed The Newsroom again this week. Really like Charlie as a character in his bow ties. Very much liking the new plot line that's been bubbling up the last two or three weeks too.

He's a wonderful actor. He broke my heart in The Shore.

I didn't think it was great this week but I've developed an unhealthy infatuation with Sloan Sabbath at this stage.
