Re: Rio Olympics 2016

Great that Brazil won the gold in the football. Well deserved. Neymar was superb.

He's hopeless alright. That chip at the end, straight in Schmeichel's hands.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Looks that way alright. Presumably Mourinho sees Blind and Carrick as enough DM cover, and I'd prefer both of them. Young might be kept for cover if Darmian is sold. Actually completely forgot about Depay, he's surely on his way if anyone is interested. Hasn't got a look in.

Re: Rio Olympics 2016

How the fuck do they go so fast? My best time jogging a 5k is about 24 minutes, for yer man Diniz to have set the world record he'd have had to average 21 minutes per 5k.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Zlatan is a real star. It's like when Van Persie arrived and the whole team was lifted.
Midfield and the three behind Zlatan is going to be interesting this season. I can't see all 3 of Herrera, Young and Schneiderlin being kept.

Re: Rio Olympics 2016

Some drama in the mens 50k. The leader has shat himself, continued on, then later collapsed out on the ground, and has now got up and is going again. Mad bastard.

Re: What's on your mind?

Thieving will always be a thing, unfortunately. A friend of a friend had her bag stolen in electric arena last year. They had a few bags and jackets in a little pile in front of themselves, which is a perfectly normal thing to do. Guy asked her for a light, stood there smoking for a moment or two, ...

Re: What's on your mind?

This will probably be my last year for the moment unless they book a huge headliner next year or a big gang is going. Last year had a great lineup but the atmosphere wasn't up to much. Also I had work on Monday morning, so Sunday was grim.

Re: What's on your mind?

Im looking forward to Nas, LCD, the Chems, New Order, SFA and Kano, and I'll probably go see Animal Collective, Savages and Daniel Avery. This will definitely be the year I see someone decent in the comedy tent though. Dylan Moran, David O Doherty, Rubberbandits.

Re: What's on your mind?

Some rake of middle of the road nothingness on the bill this year, James Bay, 1975, Catfish, Walking on cars, Ryan Sheridan, Ezra Furman, Gavin James, Editors, Wild Beasts, Local Natives. That's pretty comprehensive!

He cut half a second off his heat time, which he won, and didn't get a medal. Some competition.
What a run, fair fucks to him.

Re: Rio Olympics 2016

That was worth staying up for, new 400m world record, absolutely smashed the previous to smithereens.
Bolt and Gatlin was some match up in the 100m, really thought Bolt wasn't going to catch him this time.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Thought Liverpool looked good, but Arsenal were really depleted to be (very) fair to Wenger. He still makes some absolutely baffling decisions though.

Happier with the result than the performance for Utd. Bailly seems class though.
