Re: Film Discussion Thread *NO SPOILERS*

Sunset Boulevard
The Birds, Vertigo, Rope (seen colourised versions of them but I think they were all filmed in black and white)
Mr Smith goes the Washington
Most obvious of all, but just in case: It's a Wonderful Life

That shit in Charlottesville would turn your stomach. Armed mercenaries on the street protecting the nazis too. Trump happily ignoring them.

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

That's a shame. In their interviews together from a few years back, they talked about doing improv together, working together on other projects and seemed to be friends for a fairly long time. But TJ Miller comes across as quite abrasive, and he isn't doing himself any favours the way he's lashing o...

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

Preacher was great, the occasional accent issues can be overlooked when the characters are actually becoming likable and the set pieces keep getting upped. Thought BCS finale had it's moments but didn't escalate things like the previous season we didn't even see Mike, and Gus knowing Nacho did somet...

Re: What's on your mind?

I love Dave Grohl but that Foo Fighters set looked painful. Compare it to Radiohead last night, leagues apart. Went to see Ricky Gervais in the 3arena last night, had fairly low expectations after the dreadful Brent film/Derek/Life's Too Short/Special Correspondents/everything else he's been doing s...

Re: What's on your mind?

Great show and set.
2+2, Airbag, Idioteque and Everything in its Right Place were the highlights for me. Thought the new stuff integrated well with the other songs, the only lull was Bloom, which isn't great live, not sure why they persist with it.

Re: What's on your mind?

Worst lineup in years. State of us yesterday, saying it might be Metallica. Good point, could have been worse. Duran Duran is a weird one. Are they trying to convince people they're now old enough to ignore the fact that they've always been shit? Wouldn't have thought Tribe were big enough...

Re: Film Discussion Thread *NO SPOILERS*

Get Out.
Cracking film. Jordan Peele from Key and Peele directs so it's a strange combination of their sketch shows unsubtle comedy and some very bleak horror dealing with insidious racism and the African American experience. Shouldn't hold together as well as it does.

Re: The Video Games Thread

Anyone played Breath of the Wild yet? Looks/sounds incredible Yeah I got it for the Wii U. I've played most Zelda games, enjoyed all of them, but only finished 3 or 4. This is on a different level to all of them, or any game I've ever played. It's got the sense of freedom and scope of GTA or Skyrim...

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

Legion Have seen first three episodes and I've really enjoyed them. I was worried that the portrayal of mental illness would be hackneyed but it's quite original and well put together. Lots of attention to detail, great soundtrack, effects. Impressive stuff so far, hope it keeps it up. I was worrie...

Brilliant show, so meticulously plotted. If you can get past the rather one note voice acting it's well worth a watch.

Don't bother with the films, they're as representative of the show as the Mario Bros film was of those games.

It's not even like he'll be pushed out. The Senate and House are mostly Republican now yes? I never thought I'd say this about a human being but I really hope he either dies of natural causes or someone shoots him Grow up FFS. F*cking depressing. Kanye 2020 now seems plausible. Starting to sound be...
