Re: Do you like your job??

Congrats on the incoming new arrival Eoin, and by the sounds of it, happy days with the redundancy too. That's a huge offer. It that was voluntary i'd even still be biting their hand off, especially if i was thinking of leaving anyway. A little bump in the road now, but down the line, once you get s...

Re: GOT Thread

So that slightly random scene with Bronn and Podrick, where he puts his arm around him, and says, "lets you and me go have a pint"... is that purely so that Bronn and Cersei didn't have to share screen time, cos they fucking hate each other in real life and need to be kept apart at all times? Lola?...

What about Theo?
What about him?
Aren't you a massive fan?
Surely Sterlings arrival would mean Theo being shown the door.

Sounds like City are going to get Sanchez.

Players linked as part of a swap deal: Aguero > Sterling > ...Delph
I'd take Sterling or Aguero.
What about Theo?

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Long has managed around 43 goals in 8 seasons in the Premier League. Its kind of amazing he's managed to stay in the league for that long TBH that's more than a bit misleading 2 seasons for reading where they were muck and he wasn't first choice 2 seasons for west brom with 8 goals each another sea...

Re: Official Gym Thread

Anyone feeling brave enough to call a win for McGregor here?

Owen Roddy is convinced he's going to knock Floyd out, and he's not prone to hyperbole apparently.

Re: Do you like your job??

The idea that millenials are snowflakes is bollox. The baby boomers have left them a sack of shit to deal with and are giving them guff for not being happy about it. That's a bit of a glib take on it though, no? I remember 10 -15 years ago, reading reports from the U.S. where the wisdom was that th...

Re: Do you like your job??

Whether you simply consist yourself part of a demographic, or not. Obviously Do you consider yourself 16-24? Well this is why i asked, because i've read somewhere that millennials DoB is considered to be from 1980/81 onwards, so that'd take in an awful lot more than just 24 year olds. And i ask bec...

Re: Official Gym Thread

Ha that's pretty funny. Hope they take a fuckin bath on Saturday tho. 95% of the bets are on McGregor, 83% of the money is on Mayweather Ha! That's fucking mad. Mayweather is 2/7, also mad. See Mallinaggi turning up last night? Is he angling for something, or can he just not let it go? Would people...

Re: GOT Thread

There are other ways to allude to the passing of time though.

Dialogue.
Text on screen, (though they haven't bothered with that since S1. Ep1 i'd say.)
Time lapse photography of flowers in a field budding, blooming and then dying.
Or .... a fuckin montage!

Re: GOT Thread

I think people are getting a bit too fussed about the distances being covered. Like the distance between Kingslanding and Dragon stone is nothing. Its not that far between KL and the wall that you couldn't get there handily in a few hours flying. Dragonstone to Kings Landing, that's grand. I've no ...

Re: GOT Thread

Funny time to decide that. The shows been mostly rubbish since season 5. At least it's been highly entertaining rubbish this year. Episode 6 That raven flying all the way south and then Day flying all the way north while the lads were on the ice island  ffs, how many days were they stood there...
