Re: What's on your mind?

I then ask if I should meeting him at his Apartment in area X or his house in area Y and he replies with the n...

Re: What's on your mind?

If they're the same guys that have/had a place in Greystones where I was dragged to a fair few times about 10 years ago, then they can fuck right off.

Hated the that place. Everyone in there, be they customer or worker, tried to give off a vibe that they were simply better than everyone else.

Re: What's on your mind?

Went to an opera for the first time last night.

I don't mind theatre, I can even stomach a musical, but holy jaysus it was a bag of shite.

No intermission either so no chance to bail half way through. Couldn't sleep either with all the wailing.

Re: Do you like your job??

if you want to see someone present, then give them a brief before hand and ask them to present for 10 minutes. then you'll get to see all the skills that are relevant to presentations, and drill them with questions while you're at it there's absolutely no way that you can pull any quality out of th...

Re: Do you like your job??

Forgot the most important thing.

Being able to turn a 5 min presentation into 10 min one highlights the most important skill of all: effective bullshitting.

Re: Do you like your job??

how did you do in the presentation? can't imagine that an on the fly presentation is going to tell them too much about you I'd be of the opposite opinion. A lot of jobs show you up how to do the job and give you the training and tools to actually do it. But what can often separate the wheat from th...

The 2nd time I was there was in late May and the only time it was really cold was on top of a glacier and whale watching. Neither of which are really essential.

Re: The Travel Thread

Knowing all the prices/details in advance regarding the car hire, route, accommodation, etc, will have you find people in no time.

When I was there 2007, neither I nor the guy I went with could drive. But we stayed in one of the bigger hostels and just got talking to people. We found two people who had drivers licenses and were up for the road trip within no time.

Are ultrabooks any use, or are they all hype?
Need a new laptop, akin to a MacBook Air without being a MacBook Air.

RIP Zook.

Re: What's on your mind?

Had one of those nights last night.
Walking home from work and when I'm passing a bar I see a mate inside. So I pop in for one quick drink.

Next thing you know it's 2am and I'm asking the taxi man to pull over so I can throw up.

Re: Do you like your job??

It was a great little spot. Some Danish kids lifted two drinks from the table a few of the girls were sat at. One of the boyfriends was in the jacks at the time and I've never seen two lads shit themselves as much when they saw him coming towards them. A, drunk, 6'6", 18 stone angry Scotsman is not ...

Re: Do you like your job??

Was it in a "bar" where it looks like someone had a couple of rooms with a load of chairs and decided to put a couple of fridges and call it a bar?

If is it was, I had the of the most fun nights of all my trips to Berlin there.

I've so many worse stories from here that you wouldnt believe if I told you. It's gotten to the stage now where we have to flash up warnings in their email to say that a mail has come in externally and to not click on any links if they dont know the sender or the grammar and spelling is poor. and o...

Our office did a firm wide spam test recently.
