Re: What's on your mind?

You'll pay through the hoop for big data plans. That's where the money is for the operators these days. You might be able to do alright if you go for a SIM only plan.

Re: What's on your mind?

I don't like taking sick days either and rarely do take them. The only sick days I've taken in the last year are because the chizzler was sick and couldn't go to the creche. Even then I feel guilty and work from home.

Re: Do you like your job??

Ham up the American accent while you're out there. I met a girl who did it in Korea and they are mad for their kids to speak "American" English. You have to be careful about using colloquialisms because the kids will pick it up and the parents will go spare.

Re: What's on your mind?

Turning 30 didn't bother me at all to be honest. It was just another number. I'm having more problem with moving towards my mid 30's. Once sports stars start "retiring" at your age you start feeling old.

Re: What's on your mind?

I was moving house over the weekend and ended up with a tummy bug yesterday so my weekend involved nearly no drinking. I feel no better for it today.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

That's a pity about Dublin. It'd be far more of a pain in the arse to have to travel to Scotland for a game instead of down the M1. Would Ravenhill be up to spec for an international footy match? I've never been there but I know they've upgraded it recently.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Where will NI play their games then? Would Ravenhihll be able for it? Other than that you're probably looking at Dublin or somewhere in Britain.

Re: What's on your mind?

I was never one for poetry either at school, but then I think school drained a lot of the joy out of literature. It took me about 10 years after leaving school before I could read and enjoy To Kill a Mockingbird again.

Re: What's on your mind?

I'm happy enough tipping away at what I'm doing but I have no drive for it so I doubt I'm ever going to get too far in it. I'd like to have enough money so that money wasn't a worry but that's probably not going to happen any time soon. If I had the choice I might go back and train in something else...

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

I'd be surprised if something isn't sorted in the summer. There are only a handful of clubs out there who could afford a transfer and the wages he's looking for and he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter at those clubs so his development could suffer. I see a comprimise somewhere and him signing one m...

Re: What's on your mind?

jesus it's kicking off in the middle east big time. Egypt about to send in ground troops in to Yemen because rebels have forced the government out of the capital. A coalition of of about 10 different countries (mainly the Saudis) are using air strikes against the rebels, who are backed by Iran beca...

Re: What's on your mind?

Is the flight attendent trained to know what the pilot is doing though? At the end of the day, if one of the pilots decides he wants to crash the plane there's not much anyone can do about it.

Re: What's on your mind?

So it looks like that plane crash in the French Alps was deliberate. The pilot went to the toilet, the co-pilot locked the cockpit door behind him and aimed the plane into the ground. What a cunt.

Re: Rugby Thread

Yeah, it's almost a different game. It's a mindset thing, the want to outscore the opposition rather than stop the opposition from scoring. It helps that they are nearly guaranteed to have nice dry weather perfect for running the ball.

Re: Do you like your job??

It's the time that would kill me. Assuming you work the bare minimum 8 hr day, that's 12 hrs out of your day, not even including the walking and wait times for the transport.

Re: Do you like your job??

I don't know how you can do that kind of commute every day. That's madness.
