Re: Do you like your job??

Are you still with PWC or was that a long long time ago? left the big 4 just under a year ago. the job I signed up for, and what it's now become, are quite different. particularly in terms of travel. it's rare there's a week where I'm not travelling for a day or two. they're long bloody days, I've ...

Re: Do you like your job??

we got a new boss in on an interim basis - motivation has just been gone the last few weeks. the morale of the whole team is in the toilet. can see people with irishjobs.ie open on their screens. not a great place to be working at the moment.

Re: What's on your mind?

tbh, we didn't really know enough at the time to understand how close we were to it?it was a fairly calm evacuation if you can say that? the armed response unit did a wonderful job, and the doormen locked the place up the second they heard a commotion. it was surreal making our way to tower bridge, ...

Re: What's on your mind?

so I was across the road from borough market at the time of the attack. scary enough stuff. we were locked in for about 30 minutes before the armed response unit came in to evacuate it. we'd just arrived into the pub when it started, thank fuck we found a table, cos if not, we were heading across th...

Re: Official Gym Thread

my biggest lesson on the long runs, the last few of which were a disaster, was to properly equip myself with enough water/gels that you need for 20+ miles I was hitting the wall, because the belt I had just couldn't hold enough water. this time round I've got a bladder that I've stuffed into my runn...

Re: Official Gym Thread

started running in and out of work this week. 7km each way - great to have 14 done by the time you get home in evening. Need to get the fitness back. was supposed to do Connemara, but for various reasons, I've not been able to get my fitness levels up anywhere near where they should be.

F4 only €20 in Argos, which was a surprise to me. I was expecting to pay way more than that.
