Re: Do you like your job??

came in on my day off for a 30 minute meeting because something just needed to get done.

firstly, it got postponed by 2 hours (I was notified yesterday) which kinda messed up my plans, but whatever.

it was supposed to be at 2. here I am 15 minutes later still waiting. they know I came in for this.

Re: Do you like your job??

ouch - well hopefully it goes well for you! best of luck! I got pulled aside by someone in another team yesterday, who I don't really know at all. Said he wouldn't say it to anyone, but he heard from a partner at my old firm (who he bumped into at some party at the weekend) that I was out in the mar...

Re: Do you like your job??

I'd move - you're in your 30s right? a couple of years isn't the end of the world, as you say, you'll expand your experience (rather than just increasing experience in what I guess is a specialized area) I think that in 3 years time, it'll look better on your CV that you've reached that officer leve...

Re: What's on your mind?

We are addressing it, just slowly. Loads of things that used to be considered shameful aren't anymore and people g...

Re: Do you like your job??

honestly, at the time I was incredibly pissed off - now I'm thinking, if I'm just going to hang round until December, it's not worth risking getting a rep as difficult, in a small Dublin finance community. HR is a big gossip who'd tell everyone across the building too if someone was being difficult ...

Re: Do you like your job??

you know when an boss reduces your responsibilities (despite strong feedback from key stakeholders) and then tries to remove the word "manager" from your title without going through HR - that's not cool, right?
