Re: Fantasy Football: The Executive Draft 2017-18

Defo agree about the wiggle room. Its almost impossible to pick up a striker that will play, let alone score. Obv I have aguero but if he's out ive nothing up front and nothing I can do. Its worse again in my other game.

Our league is too big though. Hope we have a few less next year if we do this format again.
Theres another website that does this that I used last year that gives more freedom with how you put your squad together and your formation

Re: Official Gym Thread

Read two articles that mentioned it but I guess they were just trying to get ahead of the official announcement. It really should be. McGregor said he was aiming for September this year (I think thats what he said). that'll be two years without the title in play. Even if he gives it up he will go st...

Re: Film Discussion Thread *NO SPOILERS*

It'd prob make a (somewhat) better tv show. Would give them a chance to flesh out the wrold and the backstory a bit.

Here is a small video they released about the backstory that for some reason was not in the film. Not spoiler territory if anyone cares

Re: Film Discussion Thread *NO SPOILERS*

Ladybird is good but I don't get the hype. Its the kind of film I like and watch a lot of, big Noah Baumbach vibes from it, its in that wheelhouse but I don't think it transcends that. Just a good, fairly straightforward coming of age story with some decent, but unspectacular acting. Pretty much ex...

Re: The Book Thread

Read The Three Body Problem. It's a sci fi book translated from Chinese. Couple of things about it worth mentioning: It's a weird read since it is so obviously translated from another language. Not that its some 90's video game level of translating but often phrases and terms and stuff are kind of s...

Re: The Book Thread

Tried to read the first book of the Wheel of Time series. It was fucking garbage. Shite characters doing fuck all. Heavily inspired by Tolkien but not a patch on him. I'll nearly always finish a book once I've started but that's 3 of the supposed greats in various genres I've now not been able to fi...
