Pulis sacked. Could just take the Wales job if he's not fussed on waiting for another PL job.

Re: Film Discussion Thread *NO SPOILERS*

watched a few things this weekend: Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond. Was quite good and quite interesting. Helped that I've always loved the movie. Gives a bit of an insight into how off the rails Carrey can be. Wild River: Written and directed by the same guy who wrote Sicario and Hell or High Water. S...

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

I think its something they're figuring out as they go along too. Seems the best Netflix series are a bit shorter than the standard 13 for cable dramas. I think the inconsistent episode length is a double edged sword too, it frees them up but the editing can a little less sharp with it. found it str...

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

anyone know if we go to ET, whether there'll be a 4th sub? Can't tell if that rule is just in some comps (like Carabao Cup) or in this one too also, in the 1st 9 of 12 playoff games there's been 7 goals. 5 in Croatia's 1st game, and 2 across the other 8 games (one a shit deflection and one a dodgy p...

Re: What's on your mind?

Anyone any suggestions of decent fancy dress places to go in a dublin fri sat or sunday night. Have visitors coming and plan fancy dress one of the nights (probably Sat). Be nice to find somewhere where most are dressed up Just realised I haven’t done Halloween in dublin since college days so no ide...

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

watched the 1st two episodes of Big Mouth. It's pretty fucked. kinda fitting with it being Nick Kroll. Was gonna avoid it cause of his involvement, but someone suggested it to me. It's alright

Re: What's on your mind?

No power in our area since noon yesterday. Roof came off the GAA club down the road as well as the school I was teaching in last year that Dara posted a video of. Actually the three schools I've been in most recently have been hit pretty badly by the storm. Was the school that lost the roof just pr...

You’re right, saw another video that shows it a bit clearer, plus the complaints after.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

A few funny things happened, including Back a year ago Bolivia beated Perú and draw with Chile. The Chilean federation complained back then because Bolivia had field a player that was ineligible so Conmebol awarded 3 points to both Peru and Chile. Nobody really cared about Peru winning those 3 point...

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Were NZ not at the last WC? Didn't realise there was another qualifier for Syria, that's a shame. Into the 2nd half of extra time now and still 1-1, but they're down to 10 men. Would be a sickner for Australia to lose out there they were at 2010. Seems the playoffs between the 4 confederations chan...

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

They'd have another playoff to go through after that i think. Is it against S. American team, not sure? Argentina could be fucked though. Need a win at altitude v Ecuador. A world cup without Messi. Surely FIFA would move heaven and earth to avoid that happening. Or bribe a ref, whichever is more c...
