Re: The Video Games Thread

Been playing Papers Please a bit recently, very good little game. Remarkably immersive, given how simplistic the graphics and gameplay is.

Also, sporadically playing 90s adventure Spycraft: The Great Game, which has aged like a fine wine imo.

Not a GAA person atall but this Mayo player throwing something at yerman as he took that free kick the other day is scaldy behaviour.

Not sure what he thought it would achieve, but still.

Re: What's on your mind?

Anyone else following the RTE secret producer thing? RTE person tweeting anonymously, absolutely annihilating the place, how creativity is stifled, money is squandered, staff are zombies, training is inadequate, anything that involves more than the bare minimum of work is treated with suspicion and ...

Watched Straight Outta Compton too, really enjoyed it. Great performances out of Ice Cube and Eazy E actors. Needed more scenes with Tupac tho  Would have loved to watch it in the cinema, turn it up lads. Didn't love the big Dr Dre and Cube jerkoff epilogue though. Look isn't it great how we're...

Re: What are you currently listening to?

Tumbled into the spotify radio vortex last night and....well, I found it. The worst tune ever. It's real. I guess there's nothing wrong with that gabba shit or hard house or whatever it's called, if you're into it, but the voiceover is the most embarrassing thing I've ever heard. https://www.youtube...

There's an Irish "vlogger" I keep seeing too who's mad for all that. Anti-feminist, anti-SJW (whatever that means), anti "fake news", obsessed with censorship and the odd foray into thinly veiled racism. Wanks to PrisonPlanet. twitter.com/davecullenCF Absolute tosser. This dipshit has turned up on ...

Skyrim is phenomenal. Strong purchase there. I would love to get it for PS4 but I've already bought it twice in the past so nah.

Oh man really. It's fucking gold. So bad it's good territory.

Stephen King's one and only directorial effort. He confesses himself he was coked out of his mind and had no idea what he was doing.

LADS did anyone else spot the Maximum Overdrive reference in IT.

One of the kids has a t-shirt on at one point which is a green car with eyes and a face, not unlike the evil goblin truck from that movie.

Coincidence?

Re: The Video Games Thread

Played a heavy amount of Fallout 4 over the weekend, kinda cracked how to and the point of crafting a settlement. Need to level up loads before I can do anything though. Did a quick google image and it seems you end up building these enormous, elaborate bases. I'd be the type to get really anal abou...

Haha fuckin Flagg in The Stand was so lame. Macho Man Randy Flagg someone said here before. According to IMDB, Miguel Ferrer was originally up for the role, which would have been great. Bizarrely they replaced him with that Jamie Sheridan guy and Ferrer played Lloyd Henreid instead. Might give it a ...

I absolutely love The Stand. I know I've shite'ed on here about it loads before, but fucking Ben Affleck. Re: Film Discussion Thread *NO SPOILERS*

IT is good. Not exactly a game changer, very by the numbers, but sure that's the source material isn't it. Solid horror, solid cast and (I think) a solid Maximum Overdrive reference. Not spoilers, but in case you're totally pumped about it... Clown isn't a patch on Tim Curry. His Pennywise looked an...
