Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

think i asked this last time people were getting a little fed up. Who'd be the ideal targets as a replacement? Poch who just signed a contract? Zidane? Conte? Mourinho's actually favourite to be next PL manager gone checking Oddschecker. Not super short or anything, but 7/1. Poch for me. Would love...

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Yeah I suppose there is a lot of goodwill there, likable manager and an overhyped English core will do that

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Different expectations though, no? This was our second time in the CL knockouts ever and Juve are quite good.

Ugh, I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be disappointed to go out of the CL to Juve

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

His crossing is brilliant, Poch just can't help himself rotating the full backs

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Yeah Wanyama and Toby back should improve us. Aurier is an absolute liability, surprised more teams haven't targeted him tbh. Trippier's playing quite well but lacks any real pace.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Think he's agreed a new contract, not that it means anything though. And yeah, we're playing great since Dembele has got back fully fit, hopefully we can hold it together for another few months.

I got Aurier. Was in for a few, Bony was my top pick cos my forwards are shite but missed out. Also missed out on Joselu so I've still only 1 regularly playing striker.
How do these transfers work? because I got Bony despite being ahead of you in the league..

Any Spurs fans know what the easiest airport is to get to from Wembley?
Heathrow and Luton are closer but involve a good few train & tube changes. If you fly into Gatwick you can get a train to London Bridge and then tube to Wembley

Pretty happy with our group, we got an easy one last year and were shit so we might as well play some good teams early.

Wanyama picked a bad day to have his worst game in a Spurs shirt.
Very frustrating game, Conte's really got us figured out

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

I'm pretty confident he can but given the timescale it probably won't be possible this summer, we'll be utterly fucked for pace if Rose goes too

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

If Poch can turn Danny Rose and Kyle Walker into good full backs he can do it with anyone
