Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

Finished (what is hopefully) Season 1 of Dark over the weekend. Really enjoyed it, probably more so than any other new series I've watched in the last year or two. There's nothing groundbreaking in the concepts it covers, I just enjoyed the atmosphere and the way it was delivered.

Re: What's on your mind?

Yeah I reckon they'll pull back from the brink sooner or later. One hypothetical: May's government will collapse, either due to the DUP or something else. Corbyn will become PM after general election, he will say Brexit has to go on. The back bench and/or the media and/or the public will say no we ...

Re: What's on your mind?

I'm hoping against hope that the whole thing is ploy, that they didn't think the country would vote yes, so they're bringing the country to the precipice only to then offer another referendum. I don't buy that their cabinet is as completely thick as they're making out. They couldn't be. And even if ...

Re: What's on your mind?

Trumps about to really fuck things up in the middle east isn't he. Fucking idiot Hopefully they wont react to this petty antagonizing bullshit it's all Kushner anyway, the scumbag. It came out last week that he hadn't disclosed that he was funding Israeli settlements in Palestine. He's a fucking sl...

Re: What's on your mind?

Isn't it mad to think that the only keeping the agreement from happening is that the DUP happen to hold the balance of power in London? Like, if May hadn't called an election last year, and had her majority as it was, then the Tories were happy to say bye bye to the north (broadly speaking)

Re: What's on your mind?

dont think the 2 are linked. If it didnt suit the EU's negotiating position and make the UK look weak, they woudnt give a fuck about the border imo

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

Anyone started Dark on Netflix?

watched first 2 episodes last night. German show, similar premise to Stranger Things, but centred around Time not being Linear. It's more adult than Stranger Things though. Looks decent so far

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Are you kidding me? That was a shocker, he could have put Bellerin out for months. If Bellerin was making a sliding tackle then yes it was a shocker. As it is, It was a normal 50/50 and Pogba was already stretching for the ball before Bellerin dropped his knee into a bizarre position. Pogba couldn'...

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

He's a massive blow offensively and leading the counter attack. He was shocking defensively on Saturday though, and we'll be on the back foot most of the match. He let Ramsey go for their goal Saturday out of sheer laziness when Rojo was already covering 2 Arsenal forwards I do think it was a harsh ...

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

I think Henderson hinders them as much as anything, to slow and ponderous on the ball compared to whats around him. I think the defence will always be an issue for them no matter what players are a part of it. There's basic mistakes that can be coached out of players being repeated all the time.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Great result last night. Hopefully Matic is fit for the next few games and it was just a precaution. Would like to see us go with a similar formation against City, better chance of countering by leaving the 3 lads up top. Young's 2 goals were peaches

Re: Official Gym Thread

or rather tried to thump the head off some young fella and the oul lad got a slap. But the oul lad is the dad of some notorious hitman in Crumlin. He knocked the shite out of a few lads a few weeks ago as well apparently. All because they're dealers and they sent some lads up to his mates house to k...
