Re: EP Roll Call
I'm telling everyone to go see Ho99o9. Dreadful name, but aside from that their live shows look mental. They could be this year's Young Fathers on the Body and Soul stage. Or they could be a complete disaster. But it should be worth a look. This playlist has 3 songs by loads of the bands. Good way ...

Re: EP Roll Call
So this has probs been asked already but anyone got any shouts for potential hidden gems in the lineup? Not necessarily obscure, just someone who mainstream bores like me wouldn't have heard of.... To give a rough approximation of my taste; the main priorities for me this time round are Future Islan...

Re: What are you currently listening to?
I dunno, the new Beach House album is very much just more of the same thing though isn't it? "Sparks" was indeed great (and one of my top songs from 2015 definitely) which made me hope there'd be more shoe-gazey type stuff on it. But for the most part Depression Cherry just sounds like a completely ...

Re: EP Roll Call
Oh I just meant it was the new "biggest festival" in Ireland, not that it had turned into an Oxegen type atmosphere or anything. Though I only started going to EP in 2010 so I don't remember the good ol' days.

Re: EP Roll Call
If EP is the new Oxegen, is one of the smaller festivals the new EP? There seem to be loads of those smaller festivals about these days but I still haven't been to one. I first went to EP in 2010, so haven't been around as long as some of ye auld ones, but the changes I've noticed since then haven't...

Re: EP Roll Call
I'm going, having missed last year (first year I missed it since I started going in 2010). Looks like I'll be on my own this year, I have travelled up alone before but had people to meet up there. This time I'm properly alone, which will probably suck. Still better than not going at all though, I gu...

^ I didn't know that was an actual thing until I googled it.
But this is hardly Fort fúcking Knox, what excuses could they possibly have for not sorting this basic shít out?

Re: Do you like your job??
My job's alright. Could be a lot worse, though there isn't much room for career progression from what I can tell.
And even though it's a pretty simple job, I still manage to fuck things up much more often than I should.... >__<

Re: Official Gym Thread
I haven't read a single post on this thread, 'cause I'm a fat bastard.....but due to my fat bastardness, I am giving strong consideration to battling my intense social awkwardness and finally joining a gym. Is it worth it? Honestly? And by any chance does anyone have experience of the YMCA gym in Sa...

Re: What's on your mind?
Can you stick something inside the shoe to plug the hole? Or at least form a barrier between the hole and your sock? I absolutely hate buying shoes. I'm in between sizes, so size 8 always feel tight while size 9 are like clown shoes. Trying to wear in a pair of runners at the moment and getting blis...

Re: albums of 2014
'Are We There' is good but I think I prefer 'Tramp'. Favourite albums of 2014 for me were: Beck - Morning Phase (I'd never given Beck much attention before, am glad I found this though!) Kelis - Food (see above) Sky Ferreira - Night Time, My Time (technically a 2013 album but didn't get its UK rele...

Re: 2014 Highs and Lows
Highs:
Got a Masters
Got a job and moved to Dublin
Lows:
Not being particularly good at said job
No love life to speak of whatsoever
Shit social life, didn't really make any friends this year
General feelings of "meh" towards everything in life
Meh.
