Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

MON with shades of Ranieri at Monaco here, completely dismantled his team with those subs, removed any chance of a competitive finish, no central midfield for the entire second half.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Shame it took us until this stage of the campaign to meet a genuinely great player.

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

Bojack is the only truly great streaming show so far. Stranger Things and all that are decent but I've forgotten all about them a week after finishing. Bojack stays with you, especially those penultimate episodes where shit always goes so far south.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Well played by Mourinho today. Young and Valencia as wingbacks balanced out the lack of creativity from central mid. Young in particular was brilliant.

Re: The Footie Thread 2014/15

Mkhitaryan, Mata and Herrera are all poor at the moment. The team is missing Pogba (and Fellaini)

Re: What's on your mind?

Yeah it was a fairly flimsy thing really, the usual corrugated iron thing you'd have on school gyms. Landed nearby in someone's garden, crazy that no one was hurt.

Re: What's on your mind?

No power in our area since noon yesterday. Roof came off the GAA club down the road as well as the school I was teaching in last year that Dara posted a video of. Actually the three schools I've been in most recently have been hit pretty badly by the storm.

Absolutely loving the SNES mini. Emulation just isn't a patch on it.

Re: What's on your mind?

Didn't even realise it was starting today. I like the lineup but I've seen almost everyone before and fairly recently.
I've only missed one picnic since 2010, but happy enough not to be there this year.

Re: GOT Thread

You only read half my post clearly, ya dope. I was saying Littlefinger should be smart enough to realise its a shit plan, while Arya and Sansa should be smart enough to see through it. They made Littlefinger into a moron this season, especially after all his machinations to start the plot - which th...

Re: What's on your mind?

There's almost a creepiness when it happens, natural light being completely blocked out for however many minutes. Like the episode of the Simpsons where Burns gets shot.

Re: GOT Thread

It's the weakest plot line this season, no question - even with the suicide mission for the sake of it - and makes almost no sense from any angle. Arya and Sansa should be sharp enough to see they're being played, but equally Littlefinger should be smart enough to know that this is a stupid plan tha...

Re: GOT Thread

I think people are getting a bit too fussed about the distances being covered. Like the distance between Kingslanding and Dragon stone is nothing. Its not that far between KL and the wall that you couldn't get there handily in a few hours flying. it's supposed to be somewhere between 1800 and 2200 ...

Re: GOT Thread

Funny time to decide that. The shows been mostly rubbish since season 5. At least it's been highly entertaining rubbish this year. Episode 6 That raven flying all the way south and then Day flying all the way north while the lads were on the ice island  ffs, how many days were they stood there...

Re: TV Show Discussion Thread

Preacher has been good this season so far (long way to go yet, hopefully more forward momentum coming soon too, the location stagnated after 4 episodes). Herr Starr has been perfectly cast. Not sure about Featherstone and Hoover yet. I'm still not 100% sold on Cooper or Ruth Negga - she's a bit too ...

Re: GOT Thread

I can't decide if you're supposed to hate Sansa and Daenarys or if they're just poorly written but I definitely wouldn't mind the two of them being killed off. Of the 7 beyond the wall I'd say Jon and the Hound will definitely be grand. Beric and Thoros I'd expect could be fucked, and I'd say Thormu...

Re: What's on your mind?

He's got a taste for it now, shaking his fist at Venezuela.
That response to Charlottesville was the least impressive thing he's done so far. Absolute refusal to condemn the neo-nazis.
